Ralawise, a leading global distributor of clothing brands, came to Cunning Plan in July 2017 to design and produce their industry-leading 944-page multi-brand creative directory.

Cunning Plan was responsible for the account management, project management, creative, design and artwork for the Ralawise directory produced in English, Danish, Dutch, French, German, and Swedish language versions.

With our team of 20+ talented, experienced creative, designers, artworkers and project manager, we set out to deliver the fully creative directory. Our goal was to deliver not just the best directory Ralawise had ever had, but the most strategic that helped push the global business forward.

Our creative team has a wealth of experience in producing catalogues. Leading the team was our Creative Director who, working very closely with the client, planned and oversaw each and every page of the 944pp directory.

The first stage was to review the coming trends for 2018, we focussed on the tribal pattern elements from the world of fashion as well as a more general trend of community and collaboration as the overarching theme for the project. 

From here the design of the content through to the retail-inspired editorial spreads. Each element of the directory is broken down and carefully planned, from briefing the designer to the highly experienced production team who prepared each page for print.

Once the creative direction for the front cover was agreed, our creative director and his team worked through planning the shoot. From working through the lists of highly-sought after models, to choosing the brand of clothing that would compliment the style of Andreea Robescu, the Spanish artist commissioned to create the front cover art, whose previous works shout Gucci and Burberry, all ensuring we captured the Ralawise vibe.


The Finished Article

As well as the printed brochure in multiple languages, we also produced digital HTML5 versions of the directory for many customers which can be viewed on smartphones, tablets and desktop thus allowing more access and extending the global reach of the Ralawise brand.

The project has already successfully seen the first brochures go to print and delivered around Europe too. It was an exciting challenge that the team here at Cunning Plan met with the passion, creativity, innovative thinking and such great desire that was required to match that of Ralawise for their customers.
