Devonshire Hotels & Restaurants came to us with the challenge of producing a campaign that could achieve the following; help social media engagement, capture data for email marketing and increase occupancy for January 2020. January is usually the hardest month of the year for the hotel industry so we wanted to provide some festive fun on the run up to Christmas for the social media audience to engage with whilst also capturing data to help retain this engagement throughout the year.

Working with the Devonshire team we produced an advent calendar that was fun, classy and in keeping with the Devonshire branding. The advent calendar was going to be promoted on their social media channels, so we needed to create shareable content to drive a social media buzz that customers were willing to share on their personal channels. This was intended to help spread awareness of the campaign as well as build on brand awareness for The Devonshire Hotels & Restaurants.

Working with the brand guidelines we designed an advent calendar that was within the Devonshire branding yet still had a Christmas feel to it. The client provided exclusive offers and discounts to be shared on each day of the advent calendar which were valuable enough to keep people engaged and playing every day. We were able to capture data by incentivising participants to sign up to the Devonshire Arms newsletter to be entered into a final prize draw after the advent calendar was completed.
