The Problem

The group had a significant brand-led rebuild of their website, and the development company was not able to support the site going forward.

The new site lacked formal documentation, training for the internal team was limited, and site performance was not optimised.

The Solution

Hosting was moved to our dedicated hosting set up, whilst the development team reviewed the site and CMS, so we could take control of supporting the site moving forward.

An initial round of amendments that the client needed was also completed as part of the handover, including a review of conversion focused landing pages.

A process was created to enable changes moving forward, taking a client-first approach. For example, when a new booking engine was needed, we assessed not just how to integrate it, but how it would be managed by the client themselves moving forward.

This meant that each new request was assessed to see if the client wanted to manage that type of change or leave it with us and if appropriate, training was completed.

Upgraded website and support service

  • Site performance improved to meet Google standards
  • All standard requests were responded to within a 24-hour SLA, and emergency support was put in place for site-critical responses
  • New landing pages created to improve conversion
  • New booking engine integrated into the site

Balancing strategic, brand-led thinking with practical outputs can be challenging, but Cunning Plan’s background in branding and strategy allows them to strike the right balance between delivering the brand vision and meeting the technical requirements of digital marketing.
