For Chester Market, our focus has been on connecting traders with the rapidly growing audience. Encouraging them to post collaboratively and utilise the main Chester Market audience to raise awareness of their venues.

We launched Chester Market in 2022 before the original market had closed, with a strategy to grow an audience and head off negative publicity well ahead of launch.

We worked closely with the council and market team to distribute information gradually, growing excitement, balanced with sensitivity around the closure of the old market.

We did this by constantly communicating with our audiences, engaging local influencers and sharing news of the market’s development progress.

Following the launch, we visit the market each month to capture engaging social content as well as connecting with traders and encouraging them to share content collaboratively.

We work closely with the market team to promote events and initiatives that has seen 5 million visitors to the venue in just 2 years.
